Check & Connect Mentor Training is a two-day training for individuals planning to mentor students in need in their building/district. The training will allow participants to learn the skills and practices necessary to implement this Tier 2 intervention.
Check & Connect is an intervention used with K-12 students who show warning signs of disengagement with school and are at risk of dropping out. At its core, Check & Connect is a trusting relationship between the student and a caring, trained mentor who advocates for and challenges the student to keep education salient.
See more information about the intervention program here.
Your school should have at least one Check & Connect manual copy. If you would like your own copy, you can purchase one using this link. (This is separate from the green and yellow training books provided)
